My resolution for 2022 was to run a 5k in 25 minutes. I did not achieve this goal, but it motivated me to run a lot more than I have in my adult life as I trained for it. The closest I got was a 27 minute 5k. I want to keep these good habits as I age, so I’m going to keep this goal for 2023. The progress in my cardio fitness and the improvement in my energy should be enough to keep me motivated through the end of the year.
Related to my fitness goals, I also want to score 5 stars on each of the free songs in Just Dance 2018. Meg and I rediscovered this game this past month playing with friends, and it’s a really fun and effective way to get some cardio in the rainy Seattle winter and spring.
My third goal is to marry Meg and host a wedding that runs smoothly. We still have lots to plan and to prepare for August 6, but since we have the difficult, most expensive parts out of the way, I’m hopeful the rest of the planning will go off without a hitch.
